Women of Faith

Come and join the Women of Faith on the FIRST MONDAY of every month at 7:30 pm. Most gatherings are held in the Theatre Room at Birkdale Place unless noted otherwise. Take the elevator to the lower level.  Remember parking is limited to the right-hand side as you enter the parking lot so carpooling is recommended.  Let members know if you need a ride.

Motto:  Let us love not only in word and speech, but also in deed and truth.

"Keep us, O God, from pettiness; let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.  Let us be done with fault-finding and leave off self-seeking.

May we put away all pretense and meet each other face to face, without self-pity and without prejudice.  May we never be hasty in judgment and always generous.

Let us take time for all things; make us to grow calm, serene, gentle.  Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid.  Grant that we may realize it is the little things that create differences, that in the big things of life we are at one.

And may we strive to touch and to know the great, common human heart of us all, and O Lord God, let us forget not to be kind.  Amen."

Therapeutic Touch Workshop June 20, 2015

Eleven women from Faith participated in a Therapeutic Touch Level 1 workshop on June 20 at Shirley Dusmet's home. The workshop was lead by Valerie Morrell, a registered trainer with the Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario. Therapeutic Touch (TT) is a healing modality that promotes relaxation, reduces anxiety and stress, manages pain and facilitates the body's natural healing process.
