Please join us for the first Sunday of Lent.  We will have our Annual General Meeting immediately following a shortened church service  Your Council invites you to celebrate the past year of life at Faith United, to view and approve the 2018 budget and to elect your Council for 2018.  It should be a relatively short meeting.    Coffee and tea will be available before the service.

A simple lunch of soup and breads will be provided.  There will be an opportunity to make a monetary contribution towards the lunch similar to our "coffee fund."

All are welcome!

PLACE:  Masonic Hall, 6321 Regional Road 25 (south of Derry Road, at Louis St. Laurent Ave.)

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Faith United's Prayer Shawl group gathers regularly to make beautiful shawls for those in our community who need a little prayer.   The group also Chemo capsknits and crochets lapghans for Allendale, baby hats for Milton District Hospital and toques, headbands and scarves for Salvation Army patrons.  The group generally meets on the third Monday of the month - Watch the weekly announcements for time and location.  New members are welcome.

Most recently, we made 44 chemo caps for "Hats for Hope" to be given out for free to brain tumour survivors at the Brain Tumour National Conference in Toronto.

Our approach is to be service-based and outreach-oriented while taking a fresh inspirational approach to spiritual growth & offering varied worship styles. We will be vibrant and creative but respectful of our past traditions. We want to dedicate our energies & resources to the service to God & the community and beyond.  We follow the United Church liturgy and some fashion of the Order of Service.
